it is first and foremost a life of faith.
The Confirmation preparation process therefore asks the candidates to develop in holiness through spiritual knowledge and a fundamental one-to-one relationship with God. This personalization with God is the start of a life-long journey of spirituality. The Holy Spirit is being sent in Confirmation to instill the grace of God in a sense of conversion, so as to raise the intangibles of humility, self-sacrifice and contemplation.
